Worksheet management improvements in the Pool¶
Managing worksheets and drafts is now more convenient: you can delete individual worksheets or clear out all drafts at once, and copy a title into a new draft instead of retyping it. Worksheets with a deadline are now also supported for courses connected via ILIAS. See Worksheet.

Easier browsing in the Pool¶
Finding your way back to a problem is now easier: you can bookmark problems, sort the pool list (including proper alphabetical sorting), and the last problem you previewed is now highlighted. A low-threshold demo access is also available for trying out the pool without a full account, pool titles that were untranslated or incomplete have been cleaned up, and browsing no longer requires cookies.

Matrices in visualizations and feedback¶
JSXGraph visualizations now support matrix-valued variables (see Variables in Visualizations), and conditional feedback can take matrix answers into account, not just numbers and functions (see Feedback and Explanations).

Syntax highlighting for Python and Octave code fields in MUMIE courses¶
In MUMIE courses, code input fields for Python and Octave problems/articles now use a proper code editor with syntax highlighting instead of a plain text box. Visit Python or Octave.

Feedback based on the number of attempts¶
Conditional feedback can now also depend on how many attempts a student has already made on a question, not just on the answer itself. See Feedback and Explanations.

\pythoninput, \pythonoutput und \pythonbutton¶
In the new course layout (tile view, as used in OMB+ and HM4mint), the parameters height, width, and label for the commands \pythoninput, \pythonoutput, and \pythonbutton were no longer taken into account. For this reason, we have removed these parameters from the respective commands. Visit python wiki

Personal Pool Assistant (PPA)¶
The Personal Pool Assistant lets you make individual customizations to existing problems in the pool. This feature needs to be activated for your account first - please get in touch with us if you're interested.
Visit Personal Pool Assistant to learn more.
Use Worksheets as Timed Quizzes in Moodle¶
Worksheets from the pool can now be used as timed quizzes directly within Moodle – perfect for exams, tests, or time-controlled practice sessions!
Here’s how it works:
-
Automatic Timer: The countdown starts as soon as the student opens the quiz for the first time – no manual activation needed.
-
Fixed Time Window: The quiz automatically ends after the configured time limit.
-
Grading After Time Expires: Submissions are only graded after the timer has run out – ensuring fairness and consistency.
You’ll find this feature under Moodle Integration for Teachers – Point 7 in the table.
